Winchester Reads
Winchester Reads is a community-wide reading event sponsored by the John and Mary Murphy Educational Foundation and coordinated by community members and library staff.
THE BOOK
The 2019 book is Tomorrow Will Be Different: Love, Loss, and the Fight for Trans Equality by Sarah McBride.
A timely and captivating memoir about gender identity set against the backdrop of the transgender equality movement, by a leading activist and the National Press Secretary for the Human Rights Campaign, the nation’s largest LGBTQ civil rights organization.

On the Front Lines of LGBTQ Equality with author Sarah McBride

One of the most prominent advocacy voices fighting for LGBTQ equality, Sarah McBride will discuss current events and the path forward in this pressing national debate.
As the school year winds down, we would like to thank the Winchester Foundation for Education Excellence (WFEE) and the Winchester Savings Bank for their support of the WHS Creative Technology Center Lecture Series. This year, we welcomed podcasters, programmers, Computer Aided Design experts, artists, scientists, nuclear engineers and photographers. It was a great year! We can’t wait to see what next year brings.

WHS STEAM Clubs will also present their work and be present to answer questions about their clubs.
Ms. Miebach’s work focuses on the intersection of art and science and the visual articulation of scientific observations. Translating scientific data, Ms. Miebach creates woven sculptures that function both as sculptures and as instruments of the enviroment from which the data originates. Is it art? Is it science?
